As a Software Development Engineer II (SDE II), candidates will play a important key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend systems within the FinTech/Payments domain. candidates will work closely with product and engineering leaders, candidates will take ownership of critical features, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to building reliable, high-performance software solutions.

Responsibilities of Software Development Engineer II
- Candidates have to Collaborate with Team Leads and Product Managers to understand the requirements, define scope, and estimate delivery timelines of work.
- will Analyze the product specifications and design scalable, efficient backend solutions.
- Follow Agile development practices and maintain strong JIRA .
- Take complete ownership of assigned features which includes development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
- Performing root cause analysis (RCA) for production issues and ensure quick and effective resolution.
- Train and guide Tech Support Engineers to help to reduce recurring operational workload.
- Mentor SDE I engineers, providing technical guidance and code reviews if needed.
- Following the best coding practices, design standards, and testing methodologies.
- Communicate effectively through documentation, emails, and in-person discussions. good written and verbal communication
Skill for Software Development Engineer II
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, APIs, and database design.
- Hands-on experience with MVC frameworks and client-server architecture.
- Experience working with both structured and unstructured databases.
- Have good Ability to translate product requirements into clear, actionable engineering tasks.
- Strong capability to understand, navigate, and improve existing codebases.
- Basic understanding of service hosting, infrastructure, and the end-to-end deployment lifecycle.
- Good Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
- hands on knowledge of Linux environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience as a Software Development Engineer, preferably in startup or mid-sized product companies.
- Experience solving complex engineering problems and conducting RCAs in collaboration with senior engineers (SDE III or above).
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Open-source contributions, personal projects, or active participation on platforms like GitHub or Stack Overflow.
- Awards or recognition for exceptional performance.
- Good to have Publications in reputed conferences (IEEE, ACM) .
- Good to have Relevant certifications in Linux or backend technologies.
Education
- B.Tech / B.E. / Dual Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related disciplines
