Role Description
As a Senior Administrator – SIEM, you will be responsible for continuous monitoring of security events, identifying threats, and supporting incident response activities. You will work closely with SOC teams, infrastructure teams, and security stakeholders to ensure effective detection and response to cybersecurity threats.
The role covers multiple domains including SIEM monitoring, DLP, web security, endpoint security, and vulnerability management, providing broad exposure across enterprise security operations.
Key Responsibilities of Microland Hiring
Security Event Monitoring (SIEM)
- Troubleshoot systems that are not forwarding logs to SIEM
- Coordinate with other support teams to resolve logging issues
- Correlate security events to identify impacted devices or services
- Monitor security events as per defined event monitoring procedures
- Create and maintain security reports and dashboards within SIEM
Data Security (DLP)
- Identify critical and sensitive information within client networks
- Perform DLP event monitoring for email transactions
- Analyze DLP alerts for policy violations as per SOPs
- Escalate confirmed incidents to appropriate stakeholders
Web Security (Content Filtering)
- Perform SSL inspection for content filtering
- Monitor web security events following defined procedures
- Execute URL whitelisting and blacklisting as per security policies
- Support investigations related to malicious or unauthorized web access
Endpoint Security (Antivirus)
- Monitor end-user systems and servers for out-of-date virus definitions
- Identify systems at risk and coordinate remediation
- Generate antivirus compliance and incident reports
- Analyze malware incidents including virus, worm, or trojan infections
Vulnerability Management
